St Lucia’s summer is when they really go to town with fun events, all of which are part of the Soleil Saint Lucia Summer Festival. Here are a few of the amazing experiences you could take part in during your holiday.

May 2019

Saint Lucia Jazz (5-12):

Music lovers will have a fabulous time during this vibrant event. This is a great time for people to get together and celebrate Saint Lucian and Caribbean jazz music, with plenty of excellent concerts and activities culminating in one huge concert at the Pigeon Island National Landmark on May 12.

June/July 2019

Saint Lucia Carnival (culminating July 12-16)

The Saint Lucia Carnival is an iconic summertime event, where locals gather for weeks of parties, dancing, sexy costumes, steel drums and Calypso tunes. Sneak a taste of the delicious food markets, join in with a colourful street party or music competitions, and get ready for constant partying.

August 2019

Mercury Fest (9&10):

Take part in one of the island's biggest beach parties of the year. The event sees thousands of locals and travellers alike getting together to enjoy the sunshine and create a huge party vibe, with 300+ boats from Saint Lucia, Martinique and Guadeloupe joining in on the fun.

Saint Lucia Roots & Soul (23-25):

This fun and exciting festival brings together fantastic reggae, R&B and hip-hop artists with a series of free and paid-for concerts, as well as enticing activities and master classes should you fancy learning a new talent.

September 2019

Saint Lucia Food & Rum Festival (19-22):

Foodies will rejoice at this fun gastronomic festival, where a myriad of chefs, rum fanatics, wine experts and food critics come together to celebrate Caribbean cuisine. Inspired by chefs Nina Compton and Doran Payne, venture to this foodie delight and you’ll find a whole host of culinary demonstrations, rum and wine tastings, dining events and musical performances spanning over the weekend.

October 2019

Arts and Heritage Festival (18-20):

A vibrant, month-long festival that builds up towards Jounen Kwéyòl (Creole Day), that takes place on the last day of October. The festival celebrates St Lucia’s cultural, artistic and ethnic heritage in a range of exciting ways, including culinary experiences, street parties, art exhibitions, performances and lectures.
