Day 1 (Sunday)
Rio de Janeiro
Welcome to Brazil. Once you’ve arrived at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for the night.

Day 2
Rio de Janeiro
Today, you will enjoy a full day city tour of Rio de Janeiro, taking eight hours. The tour begins with a ride on a cog-train, which will take you through Tijuca Forest and up the stunning Corcovado Mountain. The train takes 20 minutes, giving you ample opportunity to see the tropical vegetation.
Once at the top of Corcovado, you’ll wander up the steps to the top lookout where Christ the Redeemer stands – this is an iconic view that will certainly take your breath away. You’ll then descend by train, with the tour taking you to Rio’s golden sand beaches before hopping on a cable car and taking the two-staged ascent up Sugar Loaf Mountain.
After drinking in the views, you’ll head back down to Guanabara Bay and Flamengo Park on your way to the downtown area. Here, you can discover the Candelaria Church and Saint Sebastian Cathedral, before stopping at Confeitaria Colombo – a historic restaurant that opened in 1894. The full-day excursion ends with a drive to the Sambadrome, the site of Rio’s Carnival parade.

Day 3
Rio de Janeiro
The day is free for you to explore the city as you wish.
There are a couple of fantastic optional excursions that you could join, including a half day tour to the Olympic Boulevard, which includes stops at Museum of Tomorrow, Rio Art Museum, and Guanabara Bay. There’s also a chance to see a folklore and Carnival show in the evening, a vibrant showcase of dancing, entertaining, samba music and costumes, or enjoy a full day tour to Petropolis – including a scenic drive up the Serra dos Orgaos Range.

Day 4
Rio de Janeiro – Iguazu
Begin your day with a flight to Iguazu, where you will be transferred to your hotel. Later in the day you’ll embark on a tour to see the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls, a stunning view that will make your jaw drop. The tour includes walking along scenic trails, including one that winds along the bottom of Devil’s Throat for even more impressive views.

Day 5
Iguazu
Today you will witness the Argentinean side of the falls. To get there, you’ll have a quick customs check before crossing the Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguassu River. After that, you’ll be driven through Argentinean Iguazu National Park, stopping at the visitors’ centre before taking the Superior Circuit, the up-river cascades, the Inferior Circuit, the down-river falls and the Ecological Jungle Train and finally ending at the falls’ most astonishing vantage point – The Devil’s Throat. The tour takes six hours, and takes you back to your hotel.

Day 6
Iguazu – Manaus
Depending on timings, you can join an optional excursion to Bird Park before your flight to Manaus. The tour takes you to this picturesque ecological park, offering a walking tour in the native woods, looking out for over 900 tropical birds that reside here. Afterwards, you’ll transfer to the airport for your flight to Manaus in the Amazon region.
Once in Manaus, if time allows you can join in with another optional excursion, this time a visit to the Bosque da Ciencia. This ecological park was built in 1995, in celebration of 40 years of the INPA foundation, and offers the opportunity to see beautiful flora and fauna living freely in the park. You’ll also stop by the Army Zoo, to see more tan 76 species of Amazonian animals.

Day 7
Manaus – Amazon
Today begins with a transfer to the pier, where you will start your memorable Amazon Ecopark Lodge experience. Located in Rio Taruma (a tributary of Rio Negro), the Amazon Ecopark Lodge is tucked away in the middle of the Amazon forest. It’s an amazing property for exploring the Amazon’s impressive natural beauty, with over six miles of jungle trails, and beautiful apartments located in rustic, wooden bungalows.
There’s a wide range of excursions you could enjoy during your stay here. They include trekking through the forest, canoeing day or night, visiting the Orchid Garden, discovering the Lake of the Quelonios turtles, and seeing a Caboclo’s house.
Please note that activities are weather permitting, and the lodge’s schedule changes regularly.

Day 8
Amazon
Your day at the Amazon Ecopark includes a trip on the lodge’s double deck boat, sailing down the Negro River along the shore of the City of Manaus. From the boat, you’ll be able to see the Amazonas Theatre, the Port of Manaus, and a quick insight into the local lifestyle, including the charming stilt houses. You’ll soon arrive at The Meeting of the Waters, which is where the Negro and Solimoes Rivers merge, offering a sensational view.

Day 9
Amazon – Manaus – Salvador da Bahia
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast, before your transfer back to Manaus. During the transfer, you’ll enjoy a scenic city tour, including Sao Sebastiao Square, the clock tower (little Big Ben), the Matriz Square and the Municipal Market. There’s even a quick photo stop at the Opera House.
You’ll then drive on to the airport for your flight to Salvador da Bahia, where you will be picked up and taken to your hotel.

Day 10
Salvador da Bahia
Today you will embark on a half day city tour of Salvador da Bahia, focusing on the colonial Brazil and Afro-Brazilian history and culture. It begins in the Barra neighbourhood, visiting the first lighthouse in America, before journeying through the authentic neighbourhoods of Corredor da Vitória and Campo Grande and visiting Municipal Square. The paved stone streets of Pelourinho are next, offering a great insight into Brazil’s colonial roots.
The tour ends at Terreiro de Jesus square, where you’ll find gorgeous churches and buildings, including the San Francisco church with its golf leafed interior. Once the tour has ended, you’ll have the option of enjoying lunch in a traditional Bahia restaurant.
The afternoon is free for you to spend as you wish. There’s a great optional excursion in the evening that you can opt for, which is a show and dinner at a typical Bahia restaurant, including vibrant dancing and music.

Day 11
Salvador da Bahia
After breakfast, your tour will end. You’ll be transferred to the airport for your ongoing flight.
