Mauritius Tennis Week With Andrew Castle: 25 September - 03 October 2017
Fancy testing your tennis skills or starting a new hobby with a former Olympian tennis player? Then look no further than this incredible week of tennis with sports star Andrew Castle – Great Britain No.1 turned well-renowned commentator, taking place at Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa.
The Private Travel Company and First4Tennis have got together to create a fantastic week full of professional tennis coaching, consisting of daily sessions with First4Tennis’ two directors and Andrew himself. Running from 25 September – 3 October 2017, this is a very fun and diverse week full of exhibition matches, coaching clinics, and even a tournament, meaning you’ll head back home with plenty of impressive skills to show off.
Itinerary
The itinerary for the week (weather permitting and subject to change) is as follows:
Day 1
Late afternoon session: Introduction and tennis assessment session with the pros, plus Groundstroke clinics and drill sessions.
Day 2
Morning session: Drills and Groundstroke clinics.
Late afternoon session: Match play and tactics session, plus a social mix in run by the coaching team.
Day 3
Morning session: Net play clinics and drills
Late afternoon session: Serving clinic, before another social mix in with the coaching team.
Day 4
Morning session: Double tactics workshop
Late afternoon session: Men’s and ladies’ singles tournament, ending with a social mix in with the coaching team.
Day 5
Morning session: Double tactics workshop
Late afternoon session: Men’s and ladies’ doubles tournament, plus the last social mix in run by the coaching team.
Day 6
Morning session - Mixed doubles tournament
Late afternoon session - Tournament Finals and an Exhibition doubles match
What’s Included

- Depart from London Gatwick on British Airways flight BA2063, leaving at 9.05pm, flying non-stop to Mauritius and arriving at 11.55am local time the following day. Upon arrival, you will be transferred by air conditioned minibus to Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa.
