Overview

With a name like Joy Island, it will come as no surprise that this luxury hotel’s focus is on creating a fun and creative environment. Located in the North Malé Atoll, the shape of the island resembles a butterfly, which is framed by a beautiful house reef.

The interiors are happiness personified, with the 151 villas all offering bright and colourful décor clearly inspired by the island setting. Whether you choose a villa with direct beach access, or a villa jutting across the crystal-clear lagoon, all boast sunrise or sunset views, alongside plenty of room to relax.

The main restaurant, The Market, offers tastes from around the world, whilst Il Basilico boasts delightful pizzas right by the pool. For a tropical cocktail, head to Rainbow, or Chiringuito offers delicious paella and BBQs on the tip of the island.

  • Beach Villa – 50sqm villas located on the east side of the island and featuring sunrise views. Sleeps three adults, or two adults and one child.
  • Beach Suite – 70sqm villas featuring a larger living room and bathroom, located on the west side of the island with sunset views. Sleeps three adults and one child.
  • Beach Suite Pool – 100sqm villas located on the west side of the island, featuring a private pool overlooking the beach. Sleeps three adults and one child.
  • Family Beach Villa – 100sqm villas featuring an interconnecting door so parents and kids can have their privacy. Located on the east side, with sunrise views. Sleeps six adults, or four adults and two children.
  • Lagoon Villa – 60sqm overwater villas located on the east side of the island, with sunrise views.  Sleeps three adults.
  • Lagoon Suite – 70sqm overwater villas with direct access to the lagoon and sunset views. Sleeps three adults.
  • Lagoon Suite Pool – 100sqm overwater villas featuring a private pool and sundeck, plus sunset views. Sleeps three adults
  • Beach Residence – A 300sqm villa, featuring two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, an outdoor dining area and a private plunge pool, with views of the lagoon and sunset. Sleeps six adults, or four adults and two children.
  • Lagoon Residence – A 280sqm overwater villa, featuring a big private deck with sunbeds, a private pool, and sunset views. Sleeps six adults.

 

  • The Market – The main restaurant, with open-air seating and a variety of worldwide cuisines.
  • Il Basilico – A traditional Italian pizzeria right by the pool.
  • Rainbow – The main bar, featuring handcrafted cocktails, a wide range of wine, and live music performances and entertainment each night.
  • Palm Beach – A lovely restaurant and bar located right on the tip of the island, serving paellas and BBQs.

Selected cocktails & mocktails. Served between 10am - midnight only. After midnight, all consumed drinks will be charged at the normal price.
