Set a little way south west of Male, Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives (formerly known as Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa) offers luxurious accommodation and that secluded island paradise location of your dreams. Heavenly palm-fringed beaches are lapped by clear turquoise water & a house reef that is kaleidoscope of colour for snorkellers and in very good condition – it doesn’t get much better.

Based on the beautiful island of Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives, the resort is found in the south of the Ari Atoll in the Maldives.

  • Transfer is by seaplane and takes 40 minutes

  • Family Overwater Villa with Kids Bedroom – 93 sqm villas straddling the water and featuring a secure, child-friendly sundeck, a seperate kids bedroom with bunk beds, direct lagoon access, shower and a private jacuzzi, these villas also include a PlayStation game consoles for younger travellers. Sleeps 2 adults and 3 children
  • Reethi Muraka Overwater Villa - 106sqm villas wIth endless ocean views and direct lagoon access, enjoy private alfresco dining on the spacious terrace. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children
  • Sunrise Overwater Villa – 86sqm villas perched over the water featuring stunning sunrises, a private sundeck with direct access to the lagoon, shower and bathtub. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children

  • Reef - The resort's main restaurant is nestled right by the swimming pool, offering coloruful and flavoursome buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With thatched roofing and vibrant decor, the restaurant has a lovely island feel. Be sure to try the sumptuous Champagne Breakfast here. Open 7.30am-10.30am, 12pm-2.30pm, and 7pm-10pm.
  • Azzuri Mare - A sophisticated restaurant offering succulent seafood cooked Italian style, all alongside a divine view of the ocean. Tuck into delicious pizza and pasta, all the while watching the chefs work at the open kitchen. Open 12pm-2.30pm, and 7pm-10pm.
  • Suan Bua - Perched next to the lotus pond, this cosy restaurant serves up sensational home-style Thai fare, served either in the welcoming dining room or al fresco on the outside terrace. Open 12pm-2.30pm, and 7pm-10pm.
  • Aqua - The cool nautical vibes here offer a more laidback dining experience, serving up light snacks and divine cocktails. Open 9am-12am.
  • Coral Bar & Lounge - A quirky lounge bar infused with colour and fun, boasting pool tables, sand-floor seating areas and views of the pool. It's a great place to enjoy complimentary afternoon tea, great wines and zingy cocktails. Open 9am-12am.
  • The Club - The refined Club Lounge is availble to Club guests, offering a la carte breakfast, light lunches and five-course dinners. Open 7am-12am.
  • In Villa Dining - In-villa dining is available should you wish to try fresh cuisine in the comfort of your own living space. Available 24 hours.
