Delhi – Agra (125 miles)
Start your exploration of Delhi, India’s capital, with its historic Old Delhi and the British-built New Delhi. Walk through the vibrant Paharganj district with a local youth guide from the G Adventures-supported City Walk project, which helps disadvantaged street youth. Visit Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, and the Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib temple before heading to Agra where you will stay for two nights.

Agra
Spend the day in historic Agra, former capital of the Delhi Sultanate and Mughal Empire. Visit the Taj Mahal, a masterpiece of Mughal architecture built by Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Also explore the "baby Taj" and the impressive Agra Fort, with its marble palaces.

Day 4
Agra – Jaipur (150 miles)
Travel to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital, with stops at Fatehpur Sikri, the 16th-century Mughal city built by Emperor Akbar, and the ancient Chand Baori stepwell in Abhaneri. Learn about traditional water conservation and block printing techniques, visiting the Anoothi Project, a women’s collective empowering marginalized communities. Overnight in Jaipur for two nights.

Day 5
Jaipur
Explore Jaipur, the “Pink City,” visiting Amber Fort, once home to Rajput rulers, and Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. Meet a local historian to learn about India’s social customs and architecture. In the evening, enjoy a lively Bollywood film experience unlike any other.

Jaipur – Pachewar (55 miles)
Drive to the rural village of Pachewar, where we stay in a charming heritage home. Explore this traditional community by meeting locals and observing potters, silversmiths, and cobblers at work. Wander through ancient temples, mud homes, and witness a cooking demonstration, experiencing how urbanization has impacted village life.

Pachewar – Delhi (250 miles)

Delhi – Kathmandu, Nepal via internal flight
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. After a warm welcome meeting, relax with a sound bath wellness demonstration, followed by a delicious six-course dinner showcasing organic Nepali cuisine, offering a true taste of the region’s flavours and traditions. Stay in Kathmandu for two nights.

Day 9
Kathmandu
Spend the day exploring Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal. Visit Bodhnath Stupa, the holiest Tibetan Buddhist shrine outside Tibet, and immerse yourself in the ancient architecture of Bhaktapur. Wander through its wood-carved temples, pagodas, and palaces, experiencing the charm of Nepal’s medieval capital.

Day 10
Kathmandu – Pharping
Visit the ancient hilltop temple of Swayambhunath, adorned with prayer flags and home to rhesus monkeys. Learn about National Geographic Grantee Chhing Lhomi’s efforts to preserve Upper Mustang’s weaving traditions through her work with the Himalayan Indigenous Society. Then, travel to Pharping, a Buddhist pilgrimage site, and stay at a serene monastery guesthouse. Experience monastery life, enjoy a chanting and prayer service, or take a peaceful walk in the grounds. Participate in a cooking demonstration to learn how to make Nepalese momos, then savour your creations.

Day 11
Pharping – Kurintar (80 miles)
Rise at dawn to hear the monks’ morning chanting and witness a breathtaking sunrise. Then, travel to Kurintar, a riverside village, and hike to the lodge perched on a forested hill with views of the Trishuli River. Relax by the pool or explore the surrounding countryside, visiting local villages. The remote lodge offers stunning vistas of sandy beaches, river, and surrounding forests, nestled among tribal settlements.
The lodge is accessible only on foot, with a 30–45 minute walk. Porters will carry your bags, but please pack overnight essentials, leaving larger bags in the vehicle.

Day 12
Kurintar – Royal Chitwan National Park
Today, we travel to Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s oldest wildlife reserve and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The park is home to 68 mammal species, including the one-horned rhino and Bengal tiger, as well as hundreds of bird species. After lunch, embark on a river safari by traditional boat, spotting aquatic birds, crocodiles, and other wildlife. Overnight in the Royal Chitwan National Park for two nights.

Day 13
Royal Chitwan National Park
Spend the day exploring Chitwan National Park through various seasonal activities. Embark on a jeep safari across the grasslands and forests, searching for rhinos, leopards, elephants, monkeys, and the elusive Bengal tiger. Meet a “tiger technician” from the Nepal Tiger Trust, dedicated to tiger conservation. Visit a nearby farming village to learn about rural life and return to our lodge in the evening for a traditional Tharu dance performance.
Note that jeep safaris may be restricted during monsoon season (June–September), but wildlife can still be spotted in the surrounding forest. Boating may also depend on river conditions.

Day 14
Royal Chitwan National Park – Pokhara (95 miles)
Drive to Pokhara, a charming town set along the shores of Phewa Lake, with snowcapped Himalayan peaks as a stunning backdrop. Enjoy a guided walk around the city and consider dining at a local restaurant. Nestled at 827m (2,713 ft), Pokhara was once a key trade route between India and Tibet. Mule trains still bring goods from remote Himalayan regions. Known for its beautiful lakes and panoramic mountain views, it’s a peaceful destination perfect for relaxing and soaking in nature’s beauty. Overnight in Pokhara for two nights.

Day 15
Pokhara
Early this morning, hike to Sarangkot’s lookout for a stunning sunrise over the Annapurna Himalaya. In Pokhara, climb a forest path to the Peace Pagoda, then visit a Tibetan refugee settlement established in 1964. Learn about its history and enjoy a traditional Tibetan lunch. Optional boat tour on Phewa Lake.

Pokhara – Kathmandu via internal flight
Fly back to Kathmandu and enjoy free time to shop in the lively Thamel district or visit Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu site. In the afternoon, explore further with visits to the burning ghats, Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), or simply wander through Kathmandu’s vibrant streets, discovering hidden gems.
