Zante Vacations
Whilst Zante is well known for its lively party vibe after the sun sets, we love how restful the days are on this naturally stunning island, too. Whether you're looking for beautiful beaches to soak up the sun, fabulous restaurants with ever popular Greek favourites, or cultural spots to fascinate and inspire, Zante is an island that has it all.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, Belvedere Hotel Luxury Suites will certainly fit the bill, located just outside the idyllic village of Vassilikos on the south east coast of Zante.
Just a short walk from Kalamaki’s famous sandy beach and the village centre, enjoy a traditional Greek holiday at Exotica Hotel & Spa.
Enjoy vibrant evenings and peaceful days in the sun
Zante has gained a reputation for its fun party vibes over the last few years, yet it’s easy to find a slower, more peaceful way of life on the island, too. Head to the south and you’ll find lively areas adorned with fabulous restaurants, bars and clubs – including the Laganas strip. Meanwhile, up north you’ll encounter stunning forested wilderness and charming rural villages with a more relaxed ambience. Zante Town is an idyllic spot to enjoy browsing in chic boutiques and enjoying delightful dinners with a glass of wine come the evening.
The beaches are sensational, and there are many lovely coves to explore, many of which are framed with jaw-dropping limestone cliffs. Navagio Beach is the most well-known, accessed via boat and home to an interesting shipwreck right in the middle of the golden sand. For nature lovers, we recommend visiting the National Marine Park, which offers a protected and conserved habitat for many animals and plants, including loggerhead turtles. The Blue Caves are also iconic in Zante, and our customers love taking a boat trip to see the crystal-clear waters and cool rock formations.
Why visit Zante?
- Beyond the party scene, you’ll find hidden treasures perfect for culture lovers. Byzantine Museum is a must with its impressive clerical pieces from island-old churches, whilst the ruined Venetian fortress, Kastro, offers amazing views of Zante Town.
- As one would expect, the beaches in Zante are nothing short of striking. Navagio Beach is worth a look if you can deal with the crowds, and for a quieter afternoon on the beach we recommend Gerakas. Visitor numbers are restricted here as it’s a turtle-nesting site. Porto Vromi beach is another secluded find, with picturesque pebbles and boats that will take you to Navagio’s shipwrecks.
- You can find many of Greece’s most delicious delicacies in Zante, including zesty tzatziki and dolmadakia (stuffed vine leaves) alongside truly decadent seafood dishes. We love the vineyards here, or there are great cooking lessons and coffee tasting experiences available. Logothetis Organic Farm is also a unique way to discover the flavour of Zante, with organic olive oil products to sample.
