Peter C, Trustpilot review - "When I booked my holiday to Barbados I must say I was a little nervous. Wow this company has the best customer service I have come across in the holiday sector. I would like to say that Paula is a great asset to Tropical Sky. The covid situation hasn't been easy for most but the holiday sector must have been the hardest to work in. This did not affect this firms customer service. A 5 star experience from Paula. If you are looking to get away they deliver on price and customer service."
Barbados is one of the finest examples of the stunning diversity of the Caribbean, with rugged outcrops in the east coast, vibrant bustle in the south and tranquil white sands in the west. Arguably the easiest of the Caribbean nations to get to from the UK, Barbados is a firm favourite for relaxed family holidays – and a hit with celebrities, too.
Barbados is a delightful island, blessed with a stunning combination of sandy beaches, year-round sunshine, and a luscious green landscape. This little gem of an island in the Atlantic is only 21 miles long by 14 miles wide, but packs an almighty punch by virtue of its idyllic beauty. The highest point of the island is Mount Hillaby rising magnificently to 1,105ft – giving amazing views of the island, particularly the northern and eastern sides.
While many islands get by on the beauty of their beaches, holidays to Barbados offer a huge range of activities too, including surfing, snorkelling and in-land safaris, whilst also boasting some of the best golf courses in the Caribbean, including Sandy Lane and Westmoreland. Even a stroll along the vibrant boardwalk to find your spot on the beach is a joy in itself.
It’s also one of the best Caribbean nations for foodies. Blending cool beach cafes and local specialities with ultra-glamorous beachfront restaurants, Barbados can take you on a tantalising journey of the senses. We’d recommend trying the incredible Cliff restaurant, nestled high in the hills and serving a menu of decadent seafood, whilst down on the beach you’ll find plenty of flying fish cutter – a delicious Bajan delicacy. Hotspots like lively St Lawrence Gap offer plenty of fabulous bars if you’re looking for a night out, whilst Oistins host a brilliant weekly Fish Fry beach party.
A visit to Bridgetown takes you to a hearty Caribbean capital. The bustle gets a little hectic but the people remain graciously friendly and always willing to chat. Cricket is the national pastime and watching a game here is quite a different experience to that in the UK.
Barbados is a truly magical place to visit, and even though it is so small, you are bound never to be bored.
